Worth of MPhil from Cambridge for PhD admissions

<p>Hi! I’m wondering if a Mphil (Psychology) from Cambridge will be a great addition to the CV, considering that I am intending to pursue a PhD in IO psych or in Mgmt (OBHR). I already have 1+year research experience as a graduate research assistant, good GRE scores and 3.9/4 GPA for a double degree in Economics and Psychology. </p>

<p>I only applied for 2 PhD programs this year (National Uni of Singapore and INSEAD) but am on waiting list for both. I’ve already been offered a MPhil in Psychology from Cambridge. </p>

<p>In short, if I do not get PhD offers, I want to understand how good this MPhil offer is as a backup plan.</p>

<p>It will certainly not hurt your chances of getting a job later, that you have some papers from Cambridge…But, did you receive any funding as well?</p>

<p>Not that I know of. It says conditional offer which requires me to prove that I have all the money I need for the program. Right now, it’s still seeking college membership which might have funding I can apply for. But that is really an unknown, isn’t it?</p>
