Worth putting on my application? (applying to Ivies)

I attended a week-long summer program at a university in another country. Though it was just a week long and I understand colleges are looking for more long-term commitments, does it demonstrate a love for learning beyond the classroom?

Would it be advisable to put this on my common application, or does this just make me seem like a privileged person who simply has the money for these things? (though we had to be selected for this trip, it wasn’t just a pay and go sort of thing)

Not sure it demonstrates any “love for learning,” but if it was truly selective, if the standards were high and you had to make a case for yourself through some application, it can reflect the group’s confidence in you. All this depends on what it was. Just going on the program isn’t “it.”

If it were to be a summer camp (such as Berkeley summer camp), I would strongly suggest you not to include it. Even though it is “selective”, they generally accept anyone who applied and “provide funds for their school” (pay them lol). If it was an internship, studying for uni credits or some sort though, putting it in would not hurt. Hope this helps.
