Hi, I’ve taken the sat once so far and scored a 1850 (620 CR 610 M 620 W). I’m an inner city Providence student who goes to a really bad school and I’m wanting to get as much money for the centennial scholarship as I can.

Does a higher sat basically=more money? My goal in this case is to get a 2000 but if I’m better off using that time to put into my personal statement then I’d rather do that.

I checked URI out on bigfuture and only 1% of their applicants get a 700+ on a single section of the sat. If this is the case then if I can get a 700 on a single section would it make me unique enough to give me more money from merits?
