I am contemplating whether applying to stanford is worth the emotional trauma.

The stanford dilemma is that I have a long legacy.
My mother went there, my grandmother and grandfather went there, my grandfathers mother went there, my cousin went there, my great aunt went there, and the list goes on. Attending stanford would make me a 4th generation female.

I have an A- average, 29 on my ACT with a 31 in the combined writing or whatever it is called

Any thoughts? Would this legacy give me a little leg up or a big leg up?

(sorry if this is a little scattered, senior delirium)
