My GPA’s not great, but knowing that senior grades are most important since they are recent, would a B- in AP Lit keep me out of Stanford or do they just care that I got a B. Usually I get B+'s in English but I’m off to a really bad start this year so by Early action time I’ll have a B- probably.

Your junior grades are the most important. One B- won’t keep you out, unless you consistently get Bs in other classes.

How about one B- senior year and a B- sophomore?

Bumppppppppp cmon please

It will not keep you out. It is simply a blemish that will detract very slightly from your application, like anything else.

I don’t think so. A C+ probably would though.

A B- is not going to be the deciding factor between an acceptance and a rejection. Don’t sweat it.
