Would a biotechnology in society course count toward my science gpa?

<p>I am taking a Biotechnology in Society course next semester. It is offered by the biochemistry department and is a 2000 level course (meaning it is a sophomore level course). Would this course count toward my AMCAS science gpa?</p>
