I’m considering adding AP Computer Apps as my fifth advanced class, but I am wondering if it is worth the trouble or not. If a college will look favorably upon the fact that I’m taking a non academic AP like Computer Apps I’ll do it. So I ask you, should add this class or is a non academic Advanced Placement class meaningless? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean AP Computer Science? I’ve never heard of a Computer Apps AP.

The course is Software Applications Design.

Are you sure this is a real AP, with corresponding AP test?

AP is a national (international?) program run by College Board. There are thirty some odd subjects which have a standardized test called the AP test. Some schools (apparently yours) like to label random advanced classes as AP, but be aware that this is not a “real” AP class.
