Hmm. i’m sure you’ll get in. Just write a kick*** essay.

hey guys
my friend was almost sure she couldn’t get into a UC, so she never even filled out the UC application she has not yet passed algebra 2 and hasnt taken the SATs or ACTs
she spent two years at an art school and now she is at a public high school
she has a decent gpa, and amazing extracurriculars(everything you can imaging, plays violin, girl scout, junior rangers etc)

does she have a chance if she applies late
and if she takes the SATS asap?

is she a senior now?It will be too late.

Skyline, you should have no problem getting into UC Merced or UC Riverside. The other UCs might be a bit more tough, but as previously mentioned a fantastic personal statement always can help.

To alb16:
Your friend needs to meet the requirement for Subject Requirement (“A-G” Coursework).
http://universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/freshman/subject_reqs.html</a>
She must pass algebra 2 by senior year.
As for SAT and SATII they must be taken before you apply to any universities because you need to send the scores to the universities.

For Merced, if you are UC eligible, you will probably be offered admission if you apply. Merced is hurting for students and I even got accepted(w/o applying) after being rejected from UCSC, another low ranking UC.
