Any comments for me ?

Get the SAT up a little bit and I think you could get in. If you applied with what you have right now I’d say you still could, though.

Do you think my GPA is too low ?

I don’t know your scale. At my school a 4.0 is the best possible. I have no idea what the 10 scale should look like.

At my school, we don’t calculate GPA at all. What is my GPA on a 4.0 scale ? Will it be very low ?

Maybe a 3.8? Didn’t actually calculate it. To do it, count A’s for 4 points and B’s for 3 and so on. Just average them all and there you go.

Thanks for your help. I have heard somewhere that colleges do not count classes like choir or band when they recalculate GPA. Is that true ?

Chance threads are for nubs

Hi. I am familiar with your GPA scale, but I don’t know your country. Where did you came from? Generally, a 8.0/10 is quite low; a 9.2/10 is better, but still a low GPA. But then, it depends very much on your country and on your school.
A 8.0 ~3.2 on a 4.0 scale and a 9.2 ~ 3.68, so you really have to raise your GPA up.

I am from Vietnam. In my country, 8.0 is equivalent to an A, and from 9.2 to 10 is A+(Actually, we do not use letter grades). To get a 8.0 in my country is actually not all that easy.

Then, I’m sure you’ll be just fine. Just make sure your college counselor mentions that in his/her recommendation/school profile. Best of luck!
