<p>^^Agreed. You’re accomplishments are commendable and obviously reflect academic rigor, but they’re nothing special. You need amazing recommendations and essays – things that, as I understand, EVERYONE needs to get in. I’m not an admissions officer, but I’m thinking AP Student of the Month won’t get you in.</p>

<p>School awards are good, but don’t count as much as regional/natl recognition.</p>

<p>yeah see since your class size is 30 kids you would need to be number 1 t o have a shot at yale. It will probably be very difficult to get in, but I would say you would need a super amazing essay and and recommendations to have a shot</p>

<p>And it’s best to leave out the “…of the month” awards. To put it bluntly, they mean nothing to the adcoms.</p>
