<p>So, I started applying to colleges around 12 days after their deadline… Yeah, I messed up. I can’t sleep right now because I’m thinking about what I’ll be doing in my future…</p>
<p>Anyways, I was just wondering if it would have been changed if I applied to them this year.</p>
<p>I have really strong extra curriculars, performing in a christian/positive message band for local events, for hospitals, for cancer research, for autism awareness, toys for tots organization, and many other fundraisers like that. Orchestra, piano, drums, guitar, singing, volunteering to teach science and biology to middle school etc students each week working with Waikiki Aquarium, tennis, basketball, etc.</p>
<p>My SAT was 1910. CR:580 M: 710 W: 620
GPA 4.0 (unweighted)
Have 12 college creds (I’m home educated) from Spanish 101/102, Speech 151, ICS 100.

I personally thought I had good essays.</p>
<p>My math in high school was not amazing… Up to alg 2 (took clep alg test and passed it), trig, geometra.</p>
<p>I made it into (more notable) Colorado Boulder CS, University of Illinois Urbana Champaign LAS Mathematics and Computer Science, and hopefully soon I’ll hear from ASU and OSU.</p>
<p>Anyways, UW is my dream college for sure. After my high school, I’m not sure if my ec’s would be that amazing as it is now. I’d like to know if EC’s are very important for UW CS or if it doesn’t matter as much as high math etc…</p>
<p>Because of such high costs, I’m planning on enlisting in the Navy and taking 1-2 CU Boulder online courses (or should I not?). Navy said that my asvab score was great, and I can take any job I want (hopefully something CS related (will have leg up on college grads, and maybe applicants, in actual experience right?)). I want the BEST shot at obtaining a bachelors degree at UW in CS. Navy will take a lot of time out, so I’m not sure how it will work with me keeping a full 4.0 at Boulder online.</p>
<p>Questions:
Will they think that taking only 1 college course per semester while in the Navy will damage my app?
*Would I have made it into UW for freshman year? Why or why not, and what should I do in preparing? Would my chances of acceptance after losing my EC’s and maybe 4.0 GPA be better or worse than after my 4 years in the military? Are EC’s very important to UW CS?
Should I apply every year to UW to see my standing, or would that have derogatory effects (if I make it in, I would most likely take online courses from them till I get out, which could void this question)? </p>
