Would it be a bad idea to write about this?

<p>One of my essay prompts asks me to write about a research project I did that was significant.</p>

<p>I have a very obvious one that is very significant to me…however, there is a chance that my guidance counselor may be mentioning this in his recommendation already.</p>

<p>Would it be bad if this got mentioned twice? Or should I do something that for sure the adcoms wont have read about already?</p>

<p>Do you really think your guidance counselor will be able to cover it better than you can? Chances are, this counselor won’t do more than mention the topic. If you think you can write a good essay on it, write the essay. I don’t think it will be a problem.</p>
