Pomona asks for an essay detailing our most significant experience in high school and how it will prepare us for college. Unfortunately, I already wrote about this in my common application essay. As my experience described in the ca essay was pretty broad, I decided to write about a specific aspect of that experience for Pomona’s essay. Specifically, I wrote about recovering from Asperger’s Syndrome in the ca essay, and about how I became better at dealing with inflexible situations and people in Pomona’s essay.

Preferably, of course, it would be better to seamlessly mention which experience was more important in my essay, and my reasons for choosing the topic I did. Unfortunately, based on the way my Pomona essay is structured, saying so wouldn’t fit and would ruin the flow of my essay. Would it be a bad idea to place above the essay a note like “(Note: I have already addressed what I believe to be my most formative experience in high school in the Common Application essay. Consequently, I chose to go into greater detail of one aspect of my experience.)”?
