Would it be worth while to take advantage of his program?

I am currently attending the University of Pennsylvania for my masters in Environmental Science and Policy.

There is an option to study abroad for a year and earn two advanced masters degrees in Engineering (Certificate if I lack the pre-reqs) and Environmental Management.

The degrees are from the Ecole De MINES Paris of Paris Tech and Tsinghua University in China. Both are supposedly really good universities in their respective home countries.

1.) Would this help me out at all when looking for work after graduating? How would employers look at the degrees?

2.) Are they reputable universities? For that matter how is UPenn looked at abroad?

Is it worth the cost and time?

1) Yes absolutely. Grad work done abroad is important and both schools are in key areas for US economic relations. It will defin give u a leg up with companies that operate internationally.

2) Yes both are well respected on their continents. Tsinghua is very famous and will surely be a great qualification.
UPenn is not really academically known in most countries (outside of specific academic/professional circles). Some people know it cause it’s rather big, some have researched colleges and stumbled upon it, but the average foreigner never heard of it.
