Would journalism be counted as an English course?

<p>In my school, journalism is counted as an English credit. But I know in other schools it is not. Would GT just follow my school’s system or would they not count journalism into my GPA because it’s an elective? My crappy journalism grade from freshman year will kill my GT GPA if it’s factored in.</p>

<p>They will probably consider it an English course if your school does, but you can contact admissions to be sure. </p>

Entering students are required to meet the minimum course requirements set by the University System of Georgia as outlined below. Please be aware that ALL courses taken in these areas will be factored into a student’s GPA, even those beyond the minimum requirements.
English - 4 Units
Math - 4 Units
Science - 4 Units (for students graduating from high school in 2012 and beyond)
Social Science - 3 Units
Foreign Language - 2 Units</p>
