would MATH 1c look bad on my application?

<p>hey guys im planning to take math1c this june. I scored really…BAD on last may’s test which i took MATH 2C… (btw im asian and I SUCK AT MATH)… lol… anyways my question is would my application look bad if i take math 1c (aiming for 800)? My highschool gpa is around 3.8 and my sat1 scroes are around 2100 which i think i could get higher score by the end the november. And im goin to take WH this June (aiming for 730~40) and literature in Dec (aiming for 730~40). My first choice of colleges are Emory, UC Berkeley, Carnegie mellons, UNC, UVA, Dartmouth, Brown…would they hate me for taking math1c?</p>

<p>Although math 2 may be more poplar among college admissions officers, I’m sure they would prefer to see a really high score on math 1 than a really poor score on math 2. So I don’t think that would be an issue. Besides math 1 has a really steep curve at the upper end (making an 800 very rare).</p>

<p>I would check with each of those schools though and make sure they do not specifically ask for math 2.</p>
