Would Oberlin's Fin Aid Award come with admission letter?

Since Oberlin sends their admission letters out so late compared to other colleges, would the financial aid award be included in the package that you’d get in the mail with your admission letter?

I’m pretty sure it does, but I could be wrong.

I applied ED and I still haven’t gotten my fin aid award, so I don’t think so.

Yes, the award comes with the letter of acceptance.

Usually financial aid awards are included with the admissions letter, but this year there was a problem with the printing of the financial aid award letters and they are not included with the admissions letters. Merit-based aid will be included with the letter, but all the info about need-based aid awards will be sent a few days later.

@alohomora - if you’re ED and haven’t received your fin aid award, you should contact the financial aid office.

@ElizabethHouston - this is very helpful to tell us the info about the printing problem for the Financial Aid award letters. Thank you for doing so.

Will the FA info be available via the online portal (Presto)?

Yes it does I just got mine, thank you so much Oberlin admissions, I cannot tell you how grateful I am :)

What is the online portal, Presto?

Oh sorry *I meant I got mine in my E-MAIL! xD

PRESTO is our online records system. It has several functions, including class registration for current students. Some applicants may already have been introduced to it, either through communications with the Financial Aid Office, or if they were missing items from their applications.

@mtpaper, yes, fin aid award info should be available on PRESTO. If you don’t see any information, it’s either a result of the same glitch that held up printing of the letters (in which case it should appear in a day or two) or it’s because your financial aid application is incomplete. Feel free to call the financial aid office if you have any questions.
