I suffered from a lot of social anxiety during my freshman and sophomore years, and because of that I was really shy and awkward. This led to me getting bullied a lot which hurt my grades and also kept me away from ECs because I was afraid of social situations.

I’m a junior now and I’m trying a lot harder this year with my grades and making an effort to branch out and be more social, and I’m slowly losing the anxiety that I once had.

Would my socially awkward past be considered a “unique circumstance” that could make up for my bad freshman and sophomore year grades?
