Would studying abroad right now help or hurt me?

Hi, My names Wilder.
I’m currently looking to transfer into an Ivy League school or something ranked just beneath it to finish the remainder of my undergraduate. Since most of the schools i’m applying too dont accept transfer students mid way through the year, I’d have to hurry to put togethor many college applications before March 1’st and March 15th deadlines for school admission for 2009, or else wait another year to apply. I have almost completely finished my core classes and still have not picked a major, because I wanted to wait untill I got to a better school to start my major work. If I did not worry about getting accepted in 2009 and instead went to Germany for a year (taking a year off of school) to become fluent in the language and find an internship, Would my chances for getting accepted to a top school be dramatically better, worse, or unchanged?

Things to note:
-I have a 4.0 right now, and probably will at the end of this semester.
-I’ve only completed 29 hours right now, and will have 45 hours by the end of this semster. Since my applications are due in March, though, the schools i’m applying too will probably only be able to decide based on the 29 hours, which I think would be difficult to take serious.
-I plan to major in International Relations or International Business, so a fluency may help.

Thanks ahead of time :)

to be very frank… i don’t have much info in regard but yeah you may like to try this
