Would there be any space left for Math 1A or College Writing R1A?

During Phase 1 (at CalSo), I waitlisted myself for Math 1A. There were around 200 spots left in the lecture, but the discussions were full.

Would I most likely get off of the waitlist for Math 1A?

Would I be kicked out of the class because Berkeley has not received my AP Cal AB score, which was a 4?

Would I be able to sign up for College Writing R1A during phase 2?

There are only 2 CalSos left. I just signed up for classes at the last CalSo.

Your AP score has nothing to do with whether or not you’ll get into the class.

You’ll very likely get into math1A - with that many lecture seats left, they HAVE to open new discussion sections. You probably won’t get a good discussion time though.

It’ll probably be difficult for you to get College Writing in Phase II - those always fill up fast.

No.

No.

Yes.

Just stay in, Berkeley usually opens up more classes if there’s a ton of waitlisted people.

Well, the waitlist is marked as manual.

I’ll change the class from waitlist to enrolled once a discussion time opens up.

I really hope there’s be space in Math 1A during my Phase 2 appointment.

Both of the majors I am most interested in require Math 1A-Math1B-Math53-Math54.

There might be some space left on the waitlist. The only professor, Hald, has actual spots open, but only a few.
