Would they Bother?

This is a random thought process…

Checking an applicants financial backround, tax returns etc etc. is seriously tedious work. Would the Financial Aid office Bother to check up and ask for stuff if things are missing if they KNOW YOU ARE DESTINED TO BE REJECTED?

???

admissions is need blind, so your financial aid application is different from your actual college application. so yes, probably.

I know, my mom thought the same thing when I got a letter for one tax return we hadn’t put in there—but I had to, sadly, tell her that was not the case :(

but think about it… it is NEED BLIND true, BUT that doesn;t mean that the FA office HAS to go through ALL 20,000 applicants. From what i know almost everyone asks of FA.

I was thinking that the Aamissions office starts looking at applicants first, then starts giving names to the FA office. It’s STILL need blind…

i dunno… just thinking

almost everyone asks for Financial AId (sorry about the typo)

yea i made a thread like this too lol. from the response i got my understanding is that they probably make sure everyone’s information is in first, and then prob only view the ones that admissions tell them are accepted. i mean with everything electronic, sending a list of missing materials isnt that much work
