Would this be a hook?

<p>I have taught myself old english. Not early modern english, old english the germanic language used in early Europe; as in the language Beowulf was written in. If I added this to my resume of extracurriculars do you think this would be a unique hook?</p>

<p>Hm, I’m not sure about a hook- but it would definitely be something worth putting down, maybe even writing your essay on!</p>

<p>Agree. It isn’t a “hook”, but it does stand out as an unusual EC and you should definitely mention it in your application.</p>
