Would this be a poor way to handle my financial aid?

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>Well, right now I am still waiting on Penn’s financial aid offer. I visited Pen SFS in person yesterday and they said that they SHOULD be done with my offer this friday. However, I am not expecting decent aid and am banking that they match other ivy aid offers. Currently, I have Dartmouth’s offer in hand and am not sure if I should wait to submit this offer to Penn now or wait until I have their first offer in hand. What do you guys think would be best?</p>

<p>Normally, I would say to wait. In this case, if you wait until Friday you may not give them enough time to come back with a response before the May 1st deadline.</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure Penn’s policy is to match financial aid (not external grants etc) from other ivies. In general, deadlines on fa aren’t strict but are more to allow for processing times.</p>
