would this senior schedule suffice?

My current schedule is:

TA

AP Physics C (mechanics)

AP Psychology

AP English Lang

AP Econ

Community College: Multivariable Calculus

My current GPA is a 4.0uw but I chose to take Physics knowing that I am almost guaranteed a B in the class. Is this a good schedule and would it be ok to get my first B in physics? I am aiming at Cornell/Duke/Columbia ED

It’s okay to get one B…
I feel like you’re not taking enough classes but I don’t know your school’s schedule.

I’m curious as well – what is the maximum number of courses that will fit into your schedule? In the US in general, what is it? I keep seeing schedules with only 5 or 6 courses, and I find it odd, since my school’s maximum was 8 full-year courses.

To answer your question, though, if that’s the maximum amount of courses, or close to it, I think you should be okay. If you have two spares, I’d add a class, if you think you can manage it. And don’t worry about one B. It won’t even drop your GPA by .1, and the schools will know how hard the course is and will examine your grades accordingly.
