I’m planning attending a local university next fall but I hate the school. I’ve visited the campus MANY times since as early as kindergarten and I have never liked the campus or environment. It’s an average quality school with a huge lack of diversity and it doesn’t offer the best political science program compared to the other colleges I was accepted to. The only reason why I’m attending is because my parents really wanted me to try it out for the sake of saving money. We can afford other colleges but, according to my parents, the financial aid package plus the scholarship I received covers the entire cost of attendance so it seems like too good of a deal to pass up without a thought.
I’ve already compiled a list of colleges that accept freshman transfers but I’m wondering if it would be a good idea to transfer so early.
Would waiting at least a year before applying as a transfer make my application more competitive than if I applied during my freshman year?
