Would Yakuts be considered Asian or Native American or Caucasian?

Background: Yakuts are a mongoloid people who live in Northern Siberia. They are closely related to Inuits and other Native American groups (I’m not Yakut, but from somewhere about 3000 miles south of Siberia)

Just curious

They are Asian. Definitely not native american.

It certainly seems like it would be a long way from the Caucasus Mountains…Azerbaijani’s, Georgians, Chechens, etc.
My wife, an Azerbaijani, thought they might speak a Turkish dialect but she was not sure. Her guess was more Asian than anything else.

Neither. First Nation Alaskans, Inuits, Yakutz, Samis, etc, arent’ considered Asian nor “Native American”.
