I am a junior but have already launched a production and investment business with my brother. We have done well, even in the current financial atmosphere. Right now, we are concentrating on building on or equity base and upgrading our equipment. I also expanding my networking and connections with the entertainment industry. I really loved Yale when we visited. But I have one concern. Would going to Yale help me to build on what I have already started? And, how (outside of the connections) would it contribute?

I can’t believe that no one has an opinion on this one. Isn’t there any students out there who are trying to start businesses early, or have professional commitments at a young age? Yesterday, I was speaking to someone at our yacht club who suggested that maybe I didn’t need to attend any universities. Although, I still feel that going could benefit me in the future. I wouldn’t want the lack of a B.A. to stop me in any way. However, will it be as easy to navigate business with school in college as it has been in high school?

Maybe the people who view your question think that you can’t be asking a serious question.

Yes, it would help. There is a major entrepreneurial climate there and a group called YES (Yale Entrepreneurial Society) that has thousands of members including current students and alumni in various places including NYC and Silicon Valley. Major businesses like FedEx have grown out of companies that people started while at Yale. Although that’s all great, you would probably want to go to Yale for reasons other than just building your business… namely, taking advantage of what is by far the best undergraduate program in the United States.

If you want to discuss the demands of business vs school in more detail I would highly recommend contacting the YES directly (or YES alumni) for more opinions.

Show me a Student Essay: “I want to attend Yale to further my business connections” and I’ll show you future landfill material in CT.

Maybe you should try to focus on why you want to attend any college and if what you can do to best present yourself to an ultra-selective school like Yale? It’s not as if it’s EASY to be admitted you know…

^
The OP is just asking whether Yale would be a good fit for him which is, in my humble opinion, a very reasonable question. Definitely more reasonable than asking for “chances” or something like that…
Also, he’s exactly asking what Yale would offer him and his entrepreneurial aspirations BESIDES connections.

He never said that Yale admission was easy…

Wow, thanks. Because, we are doing very well and I want to keep the company growing while attending university.

Unless Yale’s policies have changed (and they very well may have), you have to graduate in 8 semesters. You can take time off, but you can’t take your required 36 courses over an extended period of time. This could be a problem for you. Perhaps a school that places no time constraints would be better so you could take fewer courses over more semesters to devote time to your company.

Like PosterX said, check out YES. Yale is a great place for budding entrepreneurs.

He could take a year off, take a leave of absence for longer, or take summer courses if he needed more time to focus on the company.

I want to thank everyone for their suggestions.
