<p>I think they will look at it but you better impress them with the other aspects of your application (essays, recommendations, GPA, leadership, URM, ETC) pretty quick</p>

<p>they will look at it, but i agree that perhaps you should try the ACT/retake the SAT after intensive studying. your scores are low for yale.</p>
<p>You don’t need a hook, but the rest of your application needs to be stellar. If you’re an international, they might consider. But something in your application really, really has to stand out. Big awards will help. Otherwise, retake the SAT.</p>
<p>If you’re uhooked, your chance with that score is negligible (<1%).</p>
