I didn’t know where else to put this, but to everyone on here: would you consider school your top priority (this encompasses clubs, sports, academics, anything on campus)? How many hours a day outside of school do you spend on school work?
I hope not.
I hope that there’s a life beyond school, one which includes family and friends.
I’m going in to work this morning to face 600 Seniors, some of whom may be learning for the first time that a classmate died over the weekend. It’s going to be a horrific day for those poor kids.
As important as schoolwork and clubs and SATs and getting into college all are, life is about the relationships. It’s about the people who are important in your life, not the things you do/
Sorry to hear that your school community lost a person so young @bjkmom. It will be a long and challenging day.
OP a healthy life is one of balance. School or work is an important part, but so are other things. Someday when you get to hold your newborn baby in your arms for the first time you will understand maybe more than any other moment in your life.
