Would you date someone who is not as smart as you?

There were three boys in my honorseng class in my freshman year out of 30 something. Anyway…

I would date someone less smart or smarter than me to a certain extent. It matters on how well we can communicate and how comfortable we are with sharing each of our ideas. I’ve had boys become more “loving” or “affectionate” to try and make up for lapses in conversation and it really bothered me: “I love you?” ARGH!!!

Hmmm… I don’t really know, but I think I’d date someone who had at least average intelligence. I’m attracted to the really intelligent guys, but I can’t stand how arrogant and self-centered they are. This may sound lame, haha, but I can’t stand really witty/funny guys either. >.> It just gets annoying after a while. I also can’t stand guys that are really pessimistic, cynical, or paranoid. I’m more for the all-natural, laid back, caring kind. We’d be able to just hang out together, read books, um… like, we’d be comfortable being silent together, and we would not be compelled to find something incredibly intelligent to say to keep the other amused (talkative guys, to me, seem less “intelligent”). He’d have to be hardworking (which would translate to high grades in school, high SATs, I think), motivated, focused, and want to help others. He should be interested in issues such as poverty, famine, and deforestation, but he wouldn’t have to necessarily know exactly what is happening where and why. I guess he’d basically be considered a “gentelman,” self-confident but humble, and have a passion for life in general.

i wouldn’t be able to date someone wayyyy dumber than me.

I can’t stand talking to a dumb person. It’s just so frustrating.

i wouldn’t date anyone who was considerably dumber than i was. my dream girl is a smart, pretty, slender girl with interests in science. Preferably somewhere between 5’0" and 5’7" (i’m 6 feet).

oh, and she should be a brunette.

i’ve only run into one such girl who fits this description, and she was almost 2 years older than me. lucky me, b/c she was also my prom date, woohoo! lol

;D Thanks Moni. =] I agreed with Kimbojion. x] You have good taste girl! Hehehehe.

collegehereI_come you have such high standards

it’s probably why i’ve only met one such girl that completely fit my dream girl profile.

i have however, dated 4 different girls, and none of them completely fit into my “dream girl” profile, it’s just my idea of a dream girl. in terms of minimal acceptance, i’m fairly lenient

=] Hope you find your “dream” girl again. x]

me too… it’s just too bad she’s going to leave me behind when she goes to college =(

=] Aaawww don’t worry. x] Thank god for Technology! Hehehehe!

How about friends with benefits??? :XD Heh!

as long as a girl’s not legally ■■■■■■■■ or something, ill date her. Why should brains have anything to do with looovvvee? Grades, philosophy, science, etc. arent exactly the most romantic subjects to talk about.

=D Friends with benefits? =x I would love that! Just kidding. Not nice though. =/ It would hurt the relationship. =D Aaawww Glue that’s sweet! [huggles] =] You deserve a hug!

awwww X-D
blushes
why thank you!

^____^ Hheehehehe you’re welcome!

they need to be able to have an intellectual conversation and not be talking about things like sex all the time… someone who has it together, common sense, and is going to a great college. they dont have to be a genius… though that’s hot.

=] Genius like Bill Gates? Hhhmmm I wonder if he is single…[thinks]

He’s married. I believe his wife’s name is Melinda.

Don’t ask why I know this, because in my mind any liaison with Bill Gates would close to treason… I’m an evangelical Mac user.

=] Me too thisyearsgirl. Woot go Macs! =]

thisyearsgirl my whole family is obsessed with MAC’s(seriously you should see my step fathers studio), yet I am a PC boy. However there is good news, Im getting fed up with windows and may switch to MAC(if they come down in price). I really hope MAC comes out with a good version of a tablet PC… Bill Gates is the devil.
