Would you rather be unknown or hated?

Interesting question.

Now, to be unknown, don’t interact with people. to be hated, you must interact with people.

If you don’t interact with people, you don’t learn anything. if you do interact with people, you do learn something. if you’re rational, you won’t take that hatred as personally.

In this case, I would rather be hated than to be unknown. Moreover, it’s possible that many will hate me, but not all in the world would hate me. If that interaction results in more enemies than friends, then that’s a worthwhile cause (since enemies here usually don’t have much incentive to do you harm).

And, of course, I can always change my name. =D

Before death, unknown is better. Post departure, hatred keeps your name going.

Does hatred mean being hated by EVERYONE that you encounter? Or just some people?

(Actually, either way, I’d prefer to be hated. And, I’d prefer the opposite of what Jakor said: to be hated while I was alive and forgotten after my death.)

Thanks to the Internet, you can be unknown and learn stuff at the same time…
