I’m not a parent (I’m 19, in college) but I figured this would be a good place to ask this.

Would you rather see a girl get “slimed” (covered in nickelodeon green slime) wearing like casual clothes like a t-shirt and shorts or wearing something like a cute dress and heels with makeup/hair done? I’m participating in a charity event where I’m going to get slimed and I have seen people online get slimed and sometimes they’re like dressed up for it. It looks funnier that way so I was thinking if I should do that. Would you pay more to see that?

I guess it sounds weird to dress up to get slimed but I’ve seen other people doing it, and it sounds like it could be funny. So… should I get slimed wearing like a casual shirt/shorts or something stylish like a dress, heels, makeup/hair done nicely, maybe a bit of jewelry?

I’d say something you’re okay to toss after the slimefest. Or very washable. A cheap thrift store “fancy” outfit with full makeup would be fun and hopefully bring more donations/camera time.

Agree with SoCalGal09. Have fun getting slimed for a good cause!

@Lafalum84: Haha I am excited and so nervous at the same time lol. I am the kind of person who normally hates getting messy so this is going to be like sensory overload. :D

I just have a vision of me getting slimed like totally dressed up in my prom dress and it’s hilarious. I don’t know if I’m brave enough to actually wear it though lol!

You can get prom or bridesmaid dresses at GoodWill for cheap. Prob shoes too. You could have your vision without ruining your real prom dress…

I think this might win the prize for the most bizarre question yet on CC parent forum (is it better to go casual or dressy for getting slimed?). lol.

@sistersunnie: Yeah I thought of that…I’m not really a thrift shopper usually but that might be a good idea. Although honestly I’ll probably never wear my prom dress (or like half the dresses I have) ever again. So it wouldn’t really be that much of a loss.

Ha, I guess this is one question that won’t get asked on the “Dressing Young” thread.
