We are from Atlanta area and my rising daughter just visited and toured both Southern Miss and Miss State. She liked both. Distance to either is 4.5- 5 hours. Costs for MSU is about 25% higher, but still reasonable. My wife and I both went to SEC schools and our son is attending a SEC school currently.
Just asking for parents of students - that were also considering either/both schools, what school they chose and what were the reasons for choosing USM or MSU.
