Would you take a 2100 SAT I or 2 perfect subject tests?

2100 SAT with relatively equal scores (math a bit higher) with 650-700 subject test scores in Biology and Math II
OR
1950 SAT (almost 2000 superscore) with 2 perfect subject test scores in the same 2 tests?

My situation is that I haven’t done so well in my subject tests but I am trying to fill the requirement…
However, I am focusing on studying for SAT so I can get to 2100 or even higher.

I am worried about subject tests but I believe SAT I is much more important…am I right?

SAT II subject tests only matter if you’re applying to a college like CMU or the Ivies. Other than that in most cases the SAT I is probably more important, so you might want to look at improving your 1950. But you should still send them if whatever colleges you’re applying to will take them

Yea they will since they are required. My goal is UPenn since I live near it, but Chicago, Stanford and Duke (Harvard too) don’t require them…soo…

You should definitely focus on SAT I instead of subjects since those are more important.

Definitely focus on boosting that SAT 1 score.

Thanks guys

I have another question, not gonna make a separate thread.
First time I took SATs, I got 7 wrong on SC (Didn’t study for it really) but just 4 wrong on passages…
Some of the words I got wrong were grueling, malodorous(yea really…) and seminar (…)
Second time I took it, I got 2 wrong on SC but 12 WRONG on the passages…(Sigh)
What should I do besides studying for the next one? I feel so bad.

Generally people would tell you to read newspaper columns or standard magazines and that is a good thing also for the long run but with months and not years ahead, how do you know you are actually getting the intrinsic details in the columns you are reading. I mean you would get the summary but what if someone puts some interesting questions about the column to test you if you do really get the finer details? \without this test it would like just looking at Maths Q&A and doing lots of Maths questions without ever checking if you got the answers right.
So I think it does boil down to reading passages, doing questions and then checking answers from different SAT practice books.
But do other reading otherwise, it will come in handy for writing essays and improving your reading speed and improving vocab.

I know how to do that but I am just a bit pissed at my score breakdown.

Do you think I should take the ACT or at least try a practice test?
