you all are worth MUCH entertainment! I knew I was wording that wrongly but was too lazy to try to think about it lol

who is this famous Silverturtle? Someone you need us to track down and rep? Is it someone who has any idea what the green squares mean to him?

Silverturtle and Xiggi have done more to educate CC students on SAT prep than anyone else. See the sticky thread near the top of the SAT Prep section. He was a high school student that graduated the same year as my son, but you wouldn’t know it from the quality and content of his 10,000+ posts.

Thanks, Lorem. I dug a little (and repped him). Not sure why he never made my radar. MAYBE, just maybe, in a far corners of my memory center, is a possible allusion to him but not positive. Anyhow, the xiggis and silverturtles of the world amaze me through the contributions they make. Def deserving to be wearing of the green. Gonna go seek out my xiggi while I am at it.

Lorem, it’s not only me. I noticed somemom and moreover pierced that greenie boundary too. :)

Less than 500 points from my goal. I am still having to go back many pages to find enough people I am allowed to green when I get recharged! Perhaps our core group is shrinking.

Krilil- what did I pierce? Dare I ask!

I also added to silverturtle’s rep and others must have done as you suggested Lorem because he has 5 green squares now.

Good morning everyone! Have a happy greenie day

Lorem, you and I must have esp, I was JUST thinking about Silverturtle the other day. So much so that I looked up his most recent activity which has been very infrequent compared to the way he used to post. I recall he had a bumpy first semester freshman year, then took some time off, then went somewhere else?

He clearly is a bright individual who has some amazing talents with the SAT, and test taking in general… I sort of think of him as the Nate Silver of the SAT. I hope he was able to hone his considerable talents in those areas and has found some amazing major that will take the greatest advantage of his abilities. Maybe he is the president of College Board now ;)

Yalemom15, I was just reading Silverturtle’s SAT postings last night since DS will be taking the test this Saturday. I was amazed when I read at the end of the posting that he was only a high school senior at the time. Does anyone know which college he attended before he took some time off?

Good Luck somemom!

50 more points and I think I will join the new fivesome…is there still a fivesome on the pinnacle of Green? I joined the 2000 point group as one of the five, that was a bit awkward ;)

4beardolls, I believe silverturtle attended Brown. Not only great SAT guide, but genuine all around nice kid, imho.

Poetgrl, thanks for the update and I hope this smart and nice kid eventually landed at a path of his choosing.

That also means…I agree with poetgrl!

I feel a certain affinity for Silverturtle. He shares a number of traits with my younger son: both graduated high school in 2011, both come from Illinois, both got 36 ACTs and both attend Brown (although neither my son or I know him).

One difference is that my son took a gap year while Silverturtle ran into medical issues his first semester and had to withdraw for that year. So both are now freshmen. I hope Silverturtle is doing OK these days. Also, Silverturtle really wanted to attend Princeton (he never got off the waitlist), whereas my son finds Brown the perfect fit.

Thank you Lorem and 4bears, I am now in the 10,000+ club… Five some? Ten some?

We must be dozen some now somemom. You do like a lot of some. Anyway, I just gave more greenies for you because I thought I will have that honor of giving you the last power boost to 10k. Alas, it was not meant to be since 4bear and Lorem beat me to it.

Anyway, off we go to the 14k gold pot at the end of the rainbow led by the Empress with Lorem running a foot (?) behind.

Thanks for the update poetgrl and Lorem. Is he back at Brown as a freshman? Somehow I recall Columbia in the mix. Hope his health issues have resolved.

I now need to confess to you my brothers and sisters on the facebook thread that I completely shot my greenie wad on the dog lovers thread!
I am a sucker for a good dog story and there are some doozies over there!! If you’re in need of a diversion, Consolation’s tales are especially humorous :). Anyway, I’ll be back tomorrow with a fresh batch and get you all, I promise!

yalemom, I LOVE your new thread!

I must be spending too much time at Repgreen Labs because I am only at 8K.

Congratulations to Krlilies, somemom, and any other popular, lucky ducks who are in the 10,000 & some club. It must be fabulous. I would love to join and believe it could (maybe) happen if I could get some points this evening :D! I get points around 11 and will repay you then if you like. Now I am going to that funny dog thread!
