and of course, there’s Tonight from Green Square Story:

Tonight, tonight, won’t be just any night
Tonight I get to rep my peeps!

Thank You everyone!!!
:D

I have been raised to lofty heights by passing the 5,000 mark. You may now address me as Princess Calla
and I will continue to bow at your more worthy thrones.

I will also return rep when recharged.

Krlilies, sorry about the inaccurate point calculation. I was up past my bedtime and my math skills were out the window!

Re: ugly khakis and the thought that any kid from NYC needed fashion advice…If you read through the posts, I think he did benefit from the advice. At one point he asked if it would be appropriate to wear a short-sleeved shirt with a thermal under it to this accepted students’ reception. The description of the host’s apt sounded to me as one of those where the elevator opens directly into the apt, not that the setting should dictate his attire as that is someone’s home. It was actually an entertaining thread, especially to the mother of two khaki-wearing boys!

Am attempting to retag those but clearly I still do not have the recharge hours calculated properly. Could only tag one more this morning before being shut off.

haha! hilarious thread about the khakis. Especially the posters who where unwittingly trying to dress the male OP in “low heels” or jeans that don’t show what kind of underwear, lol…

Hmmm, I couldn’t tag-back many of you. I need to diversify, according to the Green AA authorities.

Maybe I should go God-smack a few HSLers.

Good morning, everyone. 57 in LA, which we consider to be freezing. Congrats to Calla. Slumom, hope you got the birthday delivery. Sorry about your paper, MT - a travesty!

Just curious: Do any of you feel ever feel “overdressed” with 11 squares? Sometimes when on a random thread with a bunch of low-squarers, I feel as if I’ve showed up with too much expensive jewelry. And I worry that everyone is expecting my advice to be spiritually lifting, in a Daiai Lama or poetgrl sort of way.

Could I have GID - Green Inadequacy Disorder?

CT - My boys went east to college and were truly amazed that kids their age would willingly wear khakis. But now they have friends with all pant colors.

^lol neuroticparent, get your diagnoses straight, If THEY feel bad because you’re so obviously superior by virtue of the number of greenies you have, then they have G.I.D., if YOU feel bad because you have so many it’s G.S.G.D.: Greenie Survivor Guilt Syndrome…
:D,

p.s. early detection and treatment can prevent the worsening of symptoms ;)

also, 57 degrees in January anywhere?! Cry me a river!!! :)

lol NP with the intense pressure to post in a Dalai Lama/poetgrl way.

I thought CSIHSIS was a girl too because he said in another thread that Les Mis and The Impossible brought him to tears. That’s why up-thread I felt heels are a good way to dress up the jeans.

GMT–yes, the high heels comments were hysterical to read as I knew the OP was a boy, or maybe I just assumed that from his initial post? Nonetheless, very funny throughout. Also interesting for me to read as a lifelong east coast resident.

NP–my boys will not wear salmon-colored pants or plaid shorts, but I do see them when I volunteer at the HS. Also seem them on men at cocktail parties during the summer. My boys won’t wear jeans. Find them uncomfortable. They are the ones selecting their clothing, and I have zero control over wearing short-sleeved tee shirts all year long.

MT–also very sorry about your paper. This would cause an uproar in our house b/c home delivery of the NYT brings most of the Sunday sections, including the magazine and its all important crossword puzzle. So, going out to purchase a new paper would not net us the Sun crossword. Pathetic creatures of habit we are.

CT - I’m originally from NYC, so I’m very tolerant…except I just can’t stomach shorts with whales on them.

yalemom, Thanks for the clarification. You’re right - It is GSGD! A little late for early detection though.

The anti-khaki rhetoric is quite funny over there…

@neurotic, yes I do feel embarassingly over-dressed on some threads. It makes me worry that a one-square greenie will take my comments too seriously and not relealize the Goodwill truck just dumped green clothes on my doorstep by mistake

There is a rumor that when you hit 15,000, the counter will revert to 500 without chances to increase. The 5 boxes, however, will be different. Since the UC graphic artists were not available as they work on another ToysRUs inspired logo, CC hired a designer from Kansas.

Here’s an early look

[{{{◙◙◙◙◙}}}]

xiggi!!! you are so funny…

Purple for royalty?

They have designers in Kansas?

Thank you for the lament, confetti. Quite clever, indeed!

We’re not in Kansas anymore.

I hope you will survive the (virtual) deep wounds caused by sharp claws and fangs. You can’t make such comment in impunity. There is more than virtual hugs and kisses pouring out from that part of the country.

Hugs and kisses from Kansas :)… But I am not a designer!
