<p>Yes, soccerguy, there is a formula based on how long you have been a member and your # of posts. LoremIpsum has done a lot of the math on the “prestigiousity” thread in the parents forum. When I was a one little green square girl, back in the day, I wrote you a letter about this. :D</p>

<li>A newbie with under 500 posts - 1 point</li>
<li>3-4 yr account + 3000 posts - about 15 points</li>
<li>7 year account + 7000 posts - about 30 points</li>
<li>8 year account (max) + 15000 posts - about 45 points</li>
</ul>
<p>It appears that in the 10,000+ post range, each additional 2000 posts is worth an extra point.</p>

<p>Pure junk! Popularity contest. I’ll continue to value posters for the information and comments I like. childish comments for each green box- meaningless. If anyone likes my comments and says so in a post after mine it means a lot more than getting points for unknown reasons. Some posters are great in some areas. Some of us try in our alma mater’s site where people don’t play the game and most on CC in general have no reason to visit. Those of you who post on the same sites can boost each other’s egos. I’ll remain the unliked outsider. Never did go for the gimmicks in HS or beyond and won’t start now.</p>
<p>Wis75, I don’t consider you to be an unliked outsider, at all. I actually always stop to read your posts when I see one and I always find them interesting and well considered, and if I had any reps left for the day, I would certainly rep you. But, tomorrow, you are on my radar. :)</p>
<p>That said, I know exactly how you feel. I think most of us feel that way and have just decided to turn it into a fun game.</p>
<p>^I agree. This new green squares addition to CC is ridiculous. IMO–it takes away from the purpose of CC and has turned it into a strange contest with the goal to accumulate squares based on popularity.</p>
<p>I don’t know about all of you, but all this whore mongering is getting to me. I’m not sure who I have done, did, or tryin to do. I try to keep a record of those I did, but when you get to double didgets, well thats above my pay grade. Thanks to all who did me. :)</p>

No one is taking this seriously. We are just having a little fun, and its been nice to connect with more cc’ers than I had already gotten to “know” in this wonderful community. For that reason alone, plus the entertainment value its provided this week, its been fun. Silly, but fun.</p>
