ebeee-- I tried to show you the love in your above post, but apparently I’ve been too generous today and have his my ability to dole out the love linit for today. WIll try again tomorrow. Same to you, mstee

Am hoping the negative will still be disabled when the next Greek Life thread comes through. I have a feeling all my goodwill will disappear in a day :)

Thanks for the link too CTTC.

Oh Elder jym626, heard you can be bought. What is your banks routing number and account number so I can transfer some funds from my Swiss bank account to yours? Ooops, did I say Swiss bank accounts? Would a Toblerone suffice?

abasket…maybe it is just taking them longer to find me since I was stealth and didn’t put green boxes in the thread title…:)

Krlilies…if jym626 turns you down I would love a Toblerone. Or some Swiss money…either will work.

Yes, Krlilies, that would be correct… But see post #21. I am tapped out for the day. However, should you find it in your heart to “like” this post and include your SN, it will remind me tomorrow and you will be first in line :)

** and while I love chocolate, I am on a diet. So I’ll stick with the green… cash.

Happily, there is no negative option.

^^^^^^^ Yet.

Ebeee, the gift tax collector may be breathing down on my neck so I added to your rep for free. Jym626, I just did what you requested and my e-hugs are on their way.

Huh. So far, I’m just overwhelmingly indifferent.

Hey now, Mom, can we save that kind of talk for Facebook? ;)

Was just gonna say the same thing.

And thanks, Krlilies. I don’t know when tomorrow I get my powers back :)

I’m just posting so y’all can see my 4 boxes! I’m a jewel in the rough…now if I could get a few more points I’ll be upped to “nice.” I’ve never been called nice, so…

Well looks like you are now “nice”. I wanna be whatever comes next. Can you help??

I have nice in my name and am glad to help you all with your search for what’s above niceness…

edit: it seems I may have boosted jym626 to the next level. How fun is this!

I just did my part for you Jym.

Thank you, nicelady. You really are a nicelady!

Alas, however, I have shown too much love today so cannot do so again 'til the morrow. :(

Sorry jym, I gotta spread the love before they will let me come back to you. I wonder if it is one show of love to any one poster in a 24 hour period? I’m feeling a bit unsettled being nice, it’s a new feeling.

You guys are awesome!! Thanks, EPTR. I am trying to keep a mental list, but memory stinks. Will need lots of reminders!!

*** And wow!! FIVE boxes-- but I am still just really nice…

Will there be a leaderboard or something? Finished a Coursera course “Gamification” - most important elements are points (which I would take as posts) badges (jr member, sr. member) and then leaderboards. Jym - you should be uptop that board!

If the rules here are the same as most other forums I’m on, there are two rules regarding spreading the love:

1 - you get so many hugs per day. Once you’re out, you have to wait.
2 - you have to spread the love, so you have to rep several other people before you can rep someone again.

As for long timers getting loads of reps, and appearing more reliable than new people, this is a board for fairly smart people. Think of reputation as being like a HS GPA. A low reputation score means not many people have found that person’s post overly helpful. A higher reputation simply means some members found the posts helpful. Not necessarily everybody, or even a majority of members. It may be more useful in context with the number of posts. 4 dots and 1000 posts may be looked at differently than 4 dots and 10,000 posts.
