wow..has CC become the new facebook?

Sorry, I mistyped. Good gosh I need to go to bed. I meant point value… how much your repping is worth… not point count. Ok. Bed time.

Does any one feel like Sally Field?
;)

Combination romaini, year on CC plus after 500 points or something an extra…we will both look tomorrow!

CHANCE ME!

I have begged for my green dots for the umpteenth time now. Can you chance me and let me know if I can catch up to Lenitus and jym626?

I have been rude on a post and got lots of points for that one.
I have begged and got some for pity
I am hoping for an upward trend.
My projection is 2400.

Thoughts?

Hey, folks, sneaky of you to post a whole thread where I rarely look!

Romanigypsyeyes, I’d guess yours is worth 28 points based on someone else with similar stats to yours.

No, I don’t have this figured out exactly, partially because it’s hard to isolate exact numbers if a couple come in very close to each other. But ballpark?

A newbie with under 500 posts - 1 point

3-4 yr account + 3000 posts - about 15 points

7 year account + 7000 posts - about 30 points

8 year account (max) + 15000 posts - about 45 points

If you like this analysis, please click on the scale and help me with the green. And thank you for your support!

I showed you the love yesterday LI. For the life of me I can’t figure out the point scale, but for here on CC I’m willing to be a green dot whore.

Ha!

One reason I keep visiting CC is that it’s always been good for at least one good laugh per day.

This thread goes waaayyy beyond that. Thanks, everyone

Trying to come up with something clever in order to curry favor, but failing.

This is so funny!

That works for me churchmusicmom.

It’s a new day and I’ve got a fresh supply of love to share!! Send me some and I’ll send it back. :)

Done, blue!

Done, Blueiguana,

Now I’m starting to feel bad. I only have one square AND I have a terrible head cold today that is making me so sad. If only someone would cheer me up…

*plus this post kinda rhymes.

I gotcha EPTR :)

I’ll see if I can send you some more love after I date around a bit today. CC does not support monogamy. Odd society they are trying to build here.

Oh, and they’re sneaky. I tried to rep a post of yours from last night and they reminded me to spread my love elsewhere. Geez. :o

FWIW, and not to take the obvious primary focus off of swapping points and shamelessly begging for them and/or homecoming queen/drum major/whathaveyou…

On a google search it appears that the system being used is fairly common on internet forums (other posters have pointed this out). The point value has a default setting that seems to line up with what xiggi posted in the prestigiosity thread. This however shows the negative point values if they were ever to be used (ohhhh, ahhhhh). It does answer, I think, that anyone who started this ‘trial’ <cough-fiasco-cough> as ‘infamous around these parts’ fell into a negative default value and it was a glitch. So, these are the defaults for a system ‘vBulletin’…</cough-fiasco-cough>

REPUTATION LEVELS:

User has a reputation beyond repute 2000

Good morning everyone,
I am currently at 642 pts thanks to all of you out there. I would love to transition from “a name known to all” to " a splendid one to behold" and only need 8 pts. A am grovelling as loudly as I can!

That said, to all of you who have already helped, THANK YOU. But if you want me to return the favor, you need to tell me who you are when you give me the lovie points. So please goive me points and identify yourself in the “rep” box that comes up to make comments when you “rep” me so I can thank you properly and return the kindness.

Day 3 of “earn your reputation”. I think I’m over it. Could someone just start a new food thread so I can truly earn the respect of fellow CC’ers the old fashioned way??? :)

I’m all over it abasket. Agree with you. This thread has run its course…which is why the mods will now never close it
PS For all you shameless beggars…the system won’t let me give out points for a while. Sorry.

PPS I started this nonsense and I am still at one green square.

ebeeeee -

Check out the number of green boxes under the username in post #7 of this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parent-cafe/1426446-wrong-me-choose-college-based-girl.html</a> Then read the comment that pops up when you scroll over those boxes. What does “usernamehere is a splendid one to behold” mean? Has CC been hacked by someone?

I just noticed that scrolling over the green box under your names produces the message “will become famous soon enough”. Odd, but not downright weird like the one I mention above.

Here’s hoping you become famous sooner rather than later!

Happymom-
That poster is me, and no cc hasn’t been hacked  There are several therads going about this new thing, which several of us are having fun with, but this one proably explains it best http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/community-forum-issues/1425170-say-thanks-helpful-cc-member.html</a>
Spread the love :)

Thanks for the love EPTR a few pages back. Next time I’m on the computer, I’ll be sure to spread some Green Square Love.
