wow... i am drawing the triangle wrong, aren't I?

In right triangle ABC (not shown), AngleBAC measures 90 degrees. If AC = 3 and BC = 6, then what is the degree measure of AngleB?

I know it must be something stupid…

answer is 30 (because of 30-60-90)

It’s 30 degrees, since this is a 30-60-90 special right triangle.
remember? 30-60-90 x-xsqrt3-2x.
You can see this is so because 6 is 2 times 3.

shiomi’s right, it is a special right triangle, therefore the answer is 30

But, I thought that the hypotenuse is always the biggest side?

^The hypotenuse is the biggest side…
Which is why the side length of 6 corresponds with the 90 degree angle and the 3 corresponds with the 30 degree angle and the 3*sqrt3 corresponds with the 60 degree angle.
