Kaplan and Barrons put together is a great combo. I have been studying Barrons book for the ACT and the Kaplan CD-Rom set and my english and math score have gone up 3 points. I am very pleased with Kaplan. Anyone recommend any study habbits. I have been studying 2-3 hours a day then just reviewing basic concepts every night. My main stickler is science, any pointers?

For math and english, I found the Kaplans book to be very easy when compared to the tests in the REAL ACT. As for the Kaplan’s science, I found it very difficult when compared to the real tests.

I’ve always found Kap too easy for the exams and Barrons too comprehensive (for the ACT/APs). I think a nice medium is Princeton, but that’s just me. The best study habit is to review, review, review.

Sounds like you’re on the right track, so just keep at it. For science, practice is key.
