WPI in middle of a bizarre family dispute regarding divorce, assassins and donations.
:-S
Yikes, WPI is on S18’s list. Will have to see how this plays out. Hopefully if there was wrongdoing it doesn’t result in WPI needing to give back previous donations.
Why?
IF the court finds the donations were made with money that wasn’t legally his to donate to begin with because it belonged to the divorced spouse and/or the adult children, then what moral/legal right does WPI have to keep that money?
All in all…this entire saga is a huge mess for the courts to sort out…

@cobrat, I didn’t mean that WPI should keep illegal donations, though I can see how my comment could be read that way. I meant that if Foisie is guilty of wrongdoing I hope that illegal donations to WPI (or any other nonprofit) is not part of his list of crimes.
I hope so too for WPI’s sake. If it turns out the donated money really wasn’t legally his to donate, WPI will be caught up in this mess of a case.
Clicked on the link, and couldn’t help myself but laugh when the article contained an embedded video ad was for UMass Amherst.
