want to read CS (well computer “game” programming), both WPI in Mass US and Brock in Ontario Canada accepted me.
how do you compare these two universities.
thanks
I do not know Brock so I cannot do a comparison.
You might start with a few questions:
1.What are the placement records of these universities after graduation? Look for data, not loose talk.
- If for some unforeseen reason, you lost interest in majoring in gaming, what would your second and third choices be for a major?
- As much as you may want to, you cannot work 24 hours per day on your studies.. what do you want to do in your "off" time
You may find these sites useful for WPI:
- After downloading, go to page 32 of the PDF reports at this website https://www.wpi.edu/student-experience/career-development/outcomes. Start with the latest year 2018 and check the other years.
- Hunt around the WPI website for information on other possible majors in CS and other areas of interest.. Check out the faculty in those areas and the faculties experience.
- Hunt for activities. For WPI see https://www.wpi.edu/student-experience/getting-involved
Here is the Brock University Website: https://brocku.ca/
and do not forget the cost difference.
WPI '67
thanks a lot
Brock is one of the lowest-ranked Canadian universities.
WPI is a highly ranked university.
If WPI is affordable, there’s just no comparison.
If you are Canadian then Brock may be a decent, not great, choice but not worth the international tuition if not Canadian.
For Canadian rankings see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rankings_of_universities_in_Canada
Tom Sr spruced up his picture! Looking good!
It’s not just a matter of rankings (which I typically take with a grain of salt) but in this case there’s just no comparison.
Other factors may play into it (such as whether OP is Canadian or costs) but comparing both WPI had the upper hand.
