Awards

  • Scholastic Gold Key in Critical Essay, Honorable Mention in Poetry
  • Publications in smaller literary magazines (will be doing a lot of this)
  • Dunno if this counts but probably doing a Ted Talk this Nov related to spike

Extracurriculars (ordered by importance kinda)

  • Passion Project Business thing (not tryna doxx myself but it’s heavily related/a core part of my spike) ~15hrs/week, since Jan 2025, will probably be high impact by the time I’m a senior + it’s pretty unique

  • Executive Editor for pretty large teen-run literary magazine, 3-6hrs/wk, will probably advance to EIC (or the rank one below it), since Aug 2024

  • Resuscitator and Lead Poetry Editor (90% likely future EIC) of school’s literary magazine, ~1hr/wk if averaged, since mid-Freshman year, award winning before it died during Covid and subsequent issues will be submitted for awards

  • Creative Writing, varies a lot but ~5-10hrs/wk, since 8th grade, writing a poetry collection (poems also will be submitted to mag) + novella (for passion project) —both’ll be self-published and I’ll probably try to get them in independent bookstores/libraries

  • Model UN, ~3-4hrs/wk if averaged, since Freshman year, lowk suck at it so no awards and I didn’t have confidence for leadership, only did it to break out of my shell and get better at public speaking

  • Clarinet, ~3hrs/wk, since 7th grade, in school ensemble (we don’t have chairs) and will be joining the advanced band next year once it’s created, really just a hobby

  • Calligraphy/Lettering, since 5th grade, 10hrs/wk (don’t judge), basically have mastered it and tryna make it more high-impact because I love it (maybe sign painting?),

Essays/LORs/Other

  • Essay will probably be on my phonophobia for the sound doors make? And relating that to writing? Idk
  • Have a couple options for LOR but it’s between my advisor who’s my Chemistry teacher (had for 2 years), my English teacher who’s the lit mag advisor (will have for 3-4 years), and my History teacher who’s my MUN advisor (had for 1 year in history, will be 4 years in MUN)

Schools

  • Not that many in specific but hopefully some top schools —will also probably apply to some LACs
