<p>Thank you for sharing this insightful article. I have often wondered about the belief of admissions officers that artists/poets and thinkers should also be extroverted leaders. I was glad she touched on Voluntary Service too. If Bill Gates or Bono were evaluated for this aspect at 16, they would score so low. Many people come to appreciate the value of service as they grow older, wiser, and contribute far more than what the kid who clocked 3600 hours for the sake of college apps does.</p>
