So I have a friend who made an 800 in writing, but is retaking the SAT to improve his other sections. Since his writing score doesnt matter, we were joking about how he should just write a message to collegeboard in the essay portion (about how suckish the SAT is). We then got to thinking about writing a serious response to the question, and in one of the examples he would find a way to insult the essay graders. So for example if the essay question was ‘how important is it to work hard in high school?’ He would have one example be: ‘Consider the case of my uncle Bob, who slacked off throughout high school. Unable to get any respectable jobs, he was forced to work as an SAT essay grader, mindlessly grading dull essays until he died a lonely miserable death. Since his job was so dull, he was often depressed and lacked any sense of humor or emotion at all. Had he only seen the value of hard work in high school, he could have found a real job and led a happy life.’

We even got more extreme and thought what if as one example we included an explicit sex scene from a book or movie, and described it in great detail, but then tied it back to the thesis as a legitimate support! So one example could be 'Consider the case of Jill, in the movie “Dark Night Rave.” [made-up movie] After slacking off through high school she found herself struggling in college, until she met Jake, a guy in her class. They went back to her apartment and… [great detail used in this area, now skipping to final sentence]… And so then Jill realized how important her high school education truly was and regretted not noticing the importance of high school until it was too late.
Imagine the look on a graders face when he reads one of these essays. We are also curious to see what one of these joke essays would get as a score, if he can use a ridiculous example as a legitimate support to his thesis.
