Hi guys ! I’ve been getting some acceptance letters here and there now, and I am leaning towards UCI! But the provisional contract thing is bothering me a little, so I decided to write a letter to the admission officer to clear.
Well this is what I came up with and please help this old english is not mother tongue student
Dear admission officer.
Hi my name ----. First of all I couldn’t be happier that I’ve got admitted. I am highly looking forward to attend your school this fall but I’ve got one question about the provisional admission contract before I submit SIR.
Here is a little background information to explain my unique situation. I attended De Anza College till Spring 2012, and then served military for a couple of years in South Korea. Once I got discharged from the service, I applied directly to UC not going back to community colleges or taking any more classes since I already fulfilled IGETC and pre-req for my major to transfer. But here’s the thing, on my contract, it says “Have a 2.0 GPA, or higher, in your last regular term (excluding summer session) at the last school(s) attended, and be in good standing.” However my last term grade at DeAnza is D+ as reported from the application, but the cumulative grade is still over 3.4, and I am in “good standing”. And the contract neither tell me to complete following classes nor conditions. Well I am neither having any changes upon my application nor reporting a new grade, but I am just worried that if it will be reconsidered after I submit the final transcript. So in this situation am I good to submit SIR?
I highly appreciate your time and concern, sincerely.
I guess this is it, well any comment is welcomed! Just let me know if I need to add or delete anything to be more precise and clear… also any grammatical errors please.
and thanks guys for the help :D!
