<p>So this professor has announced an opening for Grad-RA and asks prospective students to contact him with their CVs and cover letters. Now, here is the problem!</p>

<li><p>Emails with a title like ( prospective student … blah blah blah ) usually get blocked by the spam-guard. So can any one recommend me a hot subject line?</p></li>
<li><p>If i am to attach my cover letter, then what shall I write in the mail body?</p></li>

<p>Thinking of “hot subject lines” isn’t really my thing, but I could help you with #2.</p>
<p>I would attach the CV and cover letter in the email. For the email body, I would simply write a brief (keyword: brief) statement expressing interest in the Grad-RA position that is open. Then close it out with something like “Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you”.</p>
<p>I think a good subject line might just mention the grad RA program, so just specify that you’re interested in it.</p>
