Writing at Yale

So after reading the articles below, I have to say that the whole writing situation at Yale is kind of freaking me out. I am by no means a superb writer or anything, but I did express an interest in creative writing on my application. However, I am now worried that even if I am accepted to Yale (a HUGE if), I will not have the opportunity to take any courses in creative writing because they are so fiercely competitive, and it seems as though there is a bias towards already renowned student writers. I am basing this idea off the articles I have read though, so if any current Yalies or prospective Yalies (I’d love to get to know some of you!) have any thoughts, please respond.
