(As they do) almost every February, shower threaten (to disrupt) traffic, which (will be coming) to a standstill (at the height) of rush hour. (No error)

The correct answer is (will be coming). What’s wrong with the original sentence and what would “will be coming” be changed to?
Thanks in advance.

I think it should be “comes” since you have “threaten” and not “will threaten”

Verbs should remain consistent (or parallel) in tense or form throughout a sentence.
“Threaten” is present tense. “Will be coming” is future tense.
“Will be coming” should be changed to “come” in order to keep all the verbs in present tense.

I think it should be comeS since it refers to traffic

@gr8app I wasn’t even paying attention to the subject. I was just saying it needed to be present tense and saying what rule applied.

didn’t realize that. I guess we’re both right then
